The PICU cares for children whose condition needs continuous monitoring and support beyond what a general ward can offer. Every child here is looked after by a paediatric intensivist and a nursing team trained specifically for critically ill children.

- Post-operative monitoring after major surgery
- Severe infections, sepsis and multi-organ involvement
- Continuous cardiac and neurological monitoring
