These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website hi-techhospital.in, including all campus-specific sections published under this domain such as hi-techhospital.in/raurkela/ for the Rourkela campus (together, the “Website”), operated by Hi-Tech Medical College & Hospital (“HMCH”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a unit of Vigyan Bharati Charitable Trust. 

By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please discontinue the use of the Website. These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

Acceptance of Terms: 

  • Your access to and use of the Website constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and any policies referenced in them. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access the Website, whether or not they are registered users or patients of HMCH. 

Definitions: 

  • “Website” means hi-techhospital.in and all pages, sub-domains and campus sections published under it, including the Rourkela section. 
  • “Services” means the information, appointment requests, enquiry forms, and other functionality made available through the Website. 
  • “User”, “You”, “Your” means any person who accesses or uses the Website, including patients, patient attendants, and general visitors. 
  • “Content” means text, graphics, images, logos, layouts, and other material appearing on the Website.

Eligibility & Use of the Website: 

  • The Website is intended for use by individuals who are competent to enter into a binding contract under Indian law, or by a parent/guardian acting on behalf of a minor. By using the Website, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the authority to provide it, including where you are submitting an enquiry or appointment request on behalf of another person. 
  • You agree to use the Website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of the Website by, any third party. 

Appointment Booking, Enquiries & Cancellations: 

  • The Website allows you to book appointments online, and to submit callback requests and enquiries. All appointment bookings and enquiries made through the Website are free of charge; the Website does not collect any booking fee, deposit, or other payment, and no payment gateway is used. All payments for consultations, treatment, or hospital services are made offline, directly at the hospital. 
  • Booking an appointment through the Website does not guarantee a confirmed slot with your preferred doctor or time; confirmation is subject to doctor’s availability and will be communicated separately by our team. 
  • You may cancel or reschedule a booked appointment by contacting the hospital directly using the contact details on the Website. HMCH may also reschedule, modify or cancel an appointment at its discretion, including due to doctor’s unavailability, and will make reasonable efforts to inform you of any such change. As no payment is collected through the Website, no refund process applies to online bookings. 

Medical Disclaimer: 

  • Content on the Website, including information about departments, doctors, treatments and health topics, is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. It is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified medical professional.   
  • Use of the Website, including submission of an enquiry or appointment request, does not by itself create a doctor-patient relationship between you and HMCH or any of its doctors. Such a relationship is established only upon an in-person or duly authorised teleconsultation with the concerned doctor.  
  • You should not disregard, delay, or discontinue any medical treatment because of information you have read on the Website. Always consult your doctor or another qualified healthcare provider with any questions about a medical condition.  

Medical Emergency Disclaimer: 

  • The Website is not intended for use in a medical emergency. If you or another person is experiencing a medical emergency, please call your local emergency services or proceed directly to the nearest hospital emergency department. Do not rely on the Website, email, or online forms to seek urgent medical attention. 

Intellectual Property: 

  • All Content on the Website, including text, graphics, logos, images, layouts and design elements, is the property of HMCH or its licensors and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws.   • Use the Website in any way that could disable, overburden, damage, or impair its functioning. 
  • We reserve the right to restrict, suspend or terminate your access to the Website, without liability, where we reasonably believe these Terms or applicable laws have been violated.

Accreditation & Campus-Specific Information: 

  • Accreditation, certification, ranking and award of information published on the Website applies strictly to the specific campus, department or facility to which it relates and as stated at the time of publication. Such information should not be read as extending to any other campus or to HMCH as a whole unless expressly stated. 

Limitation of Liability: 

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, HMCH, its trustees, employees and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Website, including but not limited to reliance on any Content, errors or omissions in Content, or unavailability of the Website. 
  • The Website is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.  

Indemnification: 

  • You agree to indemnify and hold HMCH, its trustees, employees and agents harmless from any claim, loss, or liability, including reasonable legal fees, arising from: (i) your use of the Website; (ii) information you submit that is false, inaccurate or misleading; (iii) your breach of these Terms; or (iv) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of a third party.   

Governing Law & Jurisdiction: 

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The Website is intended for use by residents of India; if you access it from outside India, you are responsible for compliance with local laws applicable to you.

Changes to These Terms: 

  • We may update these Terms at our sole discretion, from time to time, to reflect changes in our practices, Services, or applicable law. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Effective Date.” Your continued use of the Website after any such update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, please discontinue the use of the Website.
