• Serum Creatinine & eGFR:

Measures creatinine, a waste product healthy kidneys filter out, and uses it to calculate the estimated glomerular filtration rate, the standard measure of how well the kidneys are working. 

  • Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN): 

Checks the level of urea in the blood. Urea tends to rise as kidney function declines, making it a useful marker alongside creatinine. 

  • Electrolyte Panel: 

Reviews sodium, potassium, and other electrolytes, which kidney disease can push out of normal range and which need correction in advanced cases.
